How to find Google Analytics Tracking ID?

Updated: August 29th, 2024

There are various reasons why you need to use Google Analytics Tracking ID. Maybe you want to integrate GA4 with your Content Management System (CMS). Maybe you want to track an event with Google Tag Manager, and with each event, you also have to include the ID (also known as GA4 Measurement ID). Or maybe for something else.

Let’s take a quick look where to find it.

Where to Find Google Analytics Tracking ID in GA4?

#1. Log in to your Google Analytics account

#2. Go to Admin > Data Streams (in the Data Collection and Modification section)

#3. Select your web data stream

#4. At the top-right corner, you will find a Measurement ID. It starts with G-XXX. Click the icon next to it to copy.

And that’s it. Copy that ID and use it wherever you need.
